Volunteer

LVCC warmly welcomes volunteers in a variety of flexible positions at our center locations and administrative office.

Opportunities are available for individuals, families, civic organizations and corporate teams. Volunteers can donate any number of hours. Volunteer once or make multiple visits.

Volunteers are needed:

IN CLASSROOMS

T.A.K.E. — the T.A.K.E. program (Teens & Kids Engaging) encourages interaction between teens and kids, because we feel that children and teens can learn a lot spending meaningful time together while engaging in a variety of fun activities. We are looking for teens to volunteer some time between the hours of 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. Interested teens may choose to:

  • Teach a child a game
  • Show off a talent
  • Teach a sport
  • Help with homework
  • Sing, dance, draw, or play an instrument

Share-a-Skill Program — the Share-a-Skill program encourages adults to visit our centers to share a special skill or hobby. Some examples might include:

  • Candle making
  • Sewing
  • Cooking
  • Woodworking
  • Scrapbooking, etc.

All volunteers must be 16 year of age or older. To work with children, volunteers who are 18 years or older must obtain Pennsylvania child abuse and criminal background checks.
