If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else.”

On September 26, Lehigh Valley Children’s Centers (LVCC) welcomed 11 student volunteers from Moravian College. The volunteer initiative was in connection with the college’s Heritage Day—an annual celebration of Moravian tradition, community, and service.

The volunteers arrived at LVCC’s Fowler Center location on Main Street in Bethlehem ready to make a positive impact. Armed with work gloves and brooms, they got to work. They spruced up the flowerbeds, washed playground equipment, and helped make the outdoor environment a more enjoyable place for the children to explore and make new discoveries.

We value the efforts of the college students, as well as Moravian College’s commitment to community. A volunteer’s contribution far exceeds just pulling weeds. They provide an invaluable service to the community. They save our organization time and valuable resources. They cultivate relationships, building bridges between our organizations. Thank you to our neighbors and friends at Moravian College.

We are honored to have been chosen by Moravian College, and look forward to continuing our longstanding community partnership.
